Chris did some remedial work on the front porch in a house I recently purchased and I highly recommend his services to anyone requiring carpentry services. The front railing and posts of the proch were unstable and I wanted it fixed prior to moving in as it seemed unsafe. Chris was open and honest in quoting the job, mentioning that he would need to remove decking boards to get an understanding of the full requirements. After identifying the problem, Chris communciated very clearly, explaining the issues and presented different options. Throughout the job, Chris kept me informed with regular updates and was a pleasure to work with. I was very happy with the completed product. Chris offers great value and completed the work in a timely manner, to a high standard. Easy 5 star review for me.

I contacted Chris after reading all the great reviews. Our job was a difficult one, working in the sub floor to replace some rotted timber frame, Chris took it on and did an absolutely fantastic job. He also had great advice for our sub floor doorway and did that as well. He is always friendly and helped with anything I asked of him. We were highly impressed by work Chris did on our front stairs many years ago and when it came time to replace our back stairs it was only natural that we turn to Chris again. The new staircase exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and cost. We genuinely thought our back deck might need replacement as well but Chris was able to repair it like new without the cost using a combination of his craftsmanship, quality materials and hard yakka. As well as replacing rotting timber in major supporting beams and joists, Chris found rust damage that significantly affected the structural integrity of three metal posts that helped support both the deck and that corner of the house and replaced the posts with rust-resistant ones. At all times he showed us the problems and explained how to best fix them along with approximate costs. He cleaned up thoroughly after himself, replaced paving that was disturbed and took away old beams and posts. My wife best summed up Chris as not just being a builder but a master craftsman.

I am in a wheelchair and Chris recently made some alterations on the doorway entries to my Bathroom, Toilet and Laundry. He widened the doorways and installed a cavity slider. I can now enter these spaces without causing damage with my wheelchair. GREAT JOB.
