This is the 3rd job we’ve asked Handycouple. (Replacing rotted door jambs). Quality no fuss work at reasonable price. Pleasant team to deal with.

Pete helped us with removing our patio sliding fly screen doors, removing the tracks and touching up the affected areas. A true gentleman who did an amazing job. Highly recommended. Thank you!

The Handycouple went above and beyond to perform urgent sliding door repair work at our balcony with a half hour prior notice after 6pm today and saved us from exposure to the wild whether on through the night. Their service deliveries are attentive, effective, timely and of considerably high quality, their working ethics are completely client-focused and result-driven, and their hearts are pure gold, which are extremely hard to come by in this post Covid economic landscape. The Handycouple Maintenance Service is highly recommended and is a Must-Have contact in your address book. Sha.

Very pleased with Handycouple's work for curtain rod installation (4x). Their professionalism together with transparent pricing goes a long way towards serving customers - cannot recommend them more.

A couple of months ago I moved out of my family home. I had several new furniture that needed to be assembled. I didn't have the time and expertise (especially for the bed) to assemble everything due to my work schedule. I reached out to Ana and her partner via Facebook Market Place at like 11pm asking for a quote. I was expecting a response in a couple days along with a quote. They gave me the quote right away and we locked a time within minutes. As we got closer to the assembling day I couldn't personally be there to provide access to my apartment but no worries, Ana and her partner just liaised with my girlfriend to get access! They were very professional, friendly, punctual and response. I rarely rarely give recommendations but if you need things done, you can't go wrong with Handycouple Maintenance!

Frequently asked questions

How much do carpenters typically charge?
Carpentry costs vary widely depending on the job. Simple trim or door hanging is usually less than internal framing, small outdoor structures or timber repairs that require more labour and materials. Most carpenters charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, with after-hours work attracting higher rates; this page shows live local pricing to help you compare quotes.
Do carpenters charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. These fees are usually charged separately from hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance is often charged at a higher rate, so confirm any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do carpenters need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Carpentry work is generally required to be carried out by a licensed tradesperson in every Australian state and territory. In NSW, licences are administered by Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). You should expect providers to display a valid state building or trade licence on quotes and advertising, and to hold an ABN, public liability insurance and industry memberships such as HIA or Master Builders.
How do I get a quote from Handycouple Maintenance?
