  My wife Sue and I live in Sans Souci. We wanted wooden gates made to match our existing fence. Our search for a carpenter ended when we met George Sewell. All contractors and craftsmen are judged on three criteria: Cost, Quality, and Timeliness. And on all three criteria George is superb. Our neighbours and friends love the gates; people walking past stopped and asked for George's details. George subsequently remediated some older windows and made flyscreens for us. They, too, are wonderful. We are getting George back to make us a bookcase and other fixtures. We cannot recommend George more highly. Tony & Sue Watson

  We came across George when we were looking for someone to assist us with the carpentry work required to renovate the walk-in-robe in our bedroom and the built-in wardrobe in our daughter’s room. We are so glad that we asked him to undertake the work. George’s planning and attention to detail is meticulous, and his craftmanship showed through in the final result. He project-managed and coordinated the other trades and kept us informed throughout the process. We were so pleased with how George approached his work that we asked him to replace and renew our deck. It was a large job, the deck is 76 metres squared, but George was undaunted and assembled a team to finish it in just over a week. We now have a fantastic space ready for entertaining in summer. He also renewed our linen press installing elegant bi-fold doors. We can thoroughly recommend George for any job no matter how large or small.

His attention to detail, level of skill and ability to do all types of carpentry, including laying floors is absolutley fantastic. We could not fault his workmanship which was of the highest quality and helped us solve some tricky carpentry problems with ease. We highly recommend George and will be using him again

He offered professional advice throughout the process, helping us refine a few details to ensure everything worked well and looked good.   George crossed my path when I was looking for someone to repair my deck. There was wood rot around the edging where it was exposed to the elements. Immediately speaking to George about my requirements I had a feeling of professionalism and competence. He listened, he suggested and he guided. Everything he suggested was perfect. Things I had not thought of .. but of course this is his area of expertise. After seeing how beautiful the repair was I asked him to update the entire deck. It looks nothing short of gorgeous and perfect … I can not find a single piece of second rate workmanship. I was so impressed I engaged him to do three other jobs I had been wanting done. George is professional, accurate, personable, funny, friendly and full of excellent advice. His work is second to none and I could not recommend him highly enough.

  We used this business and were blown away with the professional and precise service which was provided to us. George went up and beyond to exceed all expectations. We had the following done: - oak floor boards laid and skirting board through the house, - custom shaving cabinets and vanities made, - bathroom renovations such as frame work and structures, door frames, nib wall and bathroom accessories and fittings installed. Great job highly recommend. The results were precise and the service efficient and effective.
