I used Landmark's services in Brisbane to do a Practical Completion Inspection for a new build. The house looked okay to me, so I did wonder if it was worth it. It was. The inspection revealed quite a list of imperfections and defects I didn't pick up. For example - ducted air conditioning intake screen poorly fitted leaving a gap and damaged paint on the ceiling. A section of dented and scratched roof sheeting needing replacement. The air conditioning installers had not put the insulation batts in the ceiling back in place. Loose taps. Paint defects. To name just a few. No structural problems thank goodness. The inspector was on time, friendly, thorough, and explained everything he found. You then also receive a detailed report with photos that you can give to the builder. Definitely worth using Landmark for this inspection.
