Can’t recommend highly enough. Managed a last minute inspection on the same day as I called and had the report sent over by 3pm. Also called after the inspection to verbally tell us everything looked good. Thanks again.

I had the team out to inspect a house I was looking at purchasing and they were able to fit me in quickly. The report was incredibly thorough and highlighted issues I wouldn’t have noticed. Thanks to what they found, I decided not to go ahead with the purchase. I can’t imagine the issues I would have had down the line if I went ahead with putting an offer on the house. I highly recommend them for anyone needing a reliable building inspection.

Frequently asked questions

How much do building inspectors typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the type of inspection, property size, report detail and travel required. Many building inspectors charge an hourly rate plus a call-out fee, with higher rates for after-hours attendance. This page shows live pricing to help you compare quotes.
Do building inspectors charge call-out fees?
Yes — many building inspectors charge a call-out fee to attend and assess a property. That fee typically covers travel and the initial assessment and is separate from the hourly rate and any report costs. It's sensible to confirm any call-out or minimum charges when requesting quotes.
Do building inspectors need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Building inspection and certifying work generally needs to be carried out by a licensed or registered building inspector or certifier under state and territory rules. In New South Wales the responsible authority is the NSW Building Commission (formerly NSW Fair Trading). Look for providers who display valid state registration, an ABN with GST registration and appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
