The inspection report from Peter was done very thoroughly, covering the smallest details about the house and its issues, which gave me great confidence in my purchase. Following the report, Peter gave me a call on the same day to explain the various aspects of his observations, as well as his recommendations for the next steps. We used Peter for an inspection on a property we were purchasing in West Hobart. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and extent of knowledge of the building industry. Peter at Fearless Building Inspections has been AMAZING to deal with - thoroughly recommend! To give some context, we are first home buyers and we booked a building inspection with a business that appeared to be good (decent reviews on google, however now I'm questioning the legitimacy of said reviews). The inspector who came did a terrible job. He did not even look under the house, claiming "the door was locked so I didn't look" (we went there the next day - it wasn't). He provided very little information in the report and missed several things that we had observed ourselves. As a result, we did not feel confident in the assessment that has been done, nor the purchase. The whole process back and forth was stressful and unnecessary. The inspector went on leave the following day and was therefore unable to redo the inspection properly. We refused to pay and instead contacted FBI to arrange an inspection. Peter was fully booked but because we needed it done asap (due to the contract time period), Peter and Ruth (admin who was also excellent to deal with) managed to shuffle their jobs around to fit us in. Peter did an amazingly thorough job. He looked in detail at all areas (including in the roof and under the house) and was able to provide us with sound advice based on the age of the building. After receiving Peter's report and having a follow-up conversation, we felt confident about our "next steps". Peter spoke with me about the issues he found in a way that I could understand (as a lay person with no knowledge of anything building-related). If I could give 10 stars I would, but 5 will have to suffice.
