  To say we are delighted with the work completed by Guilbert Construction would be a tremendous understatement. We found Chris to be an incredibly thorough builder. In picking up a build that had not made it past the planning stages with another builder, we were impressed with his clear communication, high level of organization, management of trades, his own personal craftmanship and his commitment to a high standard of finish. What impressed us most though was Chris’s ability to innately understand our brief, and us as clients. He took the time to get to know us and our desired outcome, and he was able to distill our clumsy vision into something tangible and beautiful. In getting to know us, Chris recognized my difficulty visualising the outcome and choosing finishes and he gently and expertly guided us to an excellent result. He saw that it was difficult for us to be available for decision making during the work day and he skillfully struck the balance between contacting us when necessary and making the time critical decisions on our behalf. He understood our risk averse nature and was always patient when we asked far more questions than necessary. The outcome of our garage/granny flat build far exceeds any expectations we might have had. The build is beautiful and we love to look at it, and spend time in it. While we were initially sad to have our project stall in the hands of another builder, finding Guilbert Construction and completing the project to perfection with them has been a gift.

  Guilbert Construction completed the renovation of three bathrooms at our home in early 2024. From the outset, the Managing Director, Chris Guilbert, demonstrated the qualities that were important to us, being reliable, honest and a great communicator. We found him to be a lovely person and very easy to work with. Chris was highly organised and his attention to the job and a quality outcome was consistent from start to finish. Prior to the work commencing, we were provided with a detailed schedule, forecasting the dates which trades/tasks would be completed during the renovation period. We were very impressed that over the two months of renovations, the work was completed in line with the schedule, with very little change. The trades used by Guilbert Construction were excellent, with the same standard for quality and good-natured individuals, we felt very comfortable having them in our home. During the planning stage, Chris provided excellent advice, including design options, which resulted in beautiful and functional bathrooms, which we love. We’re very glad that we chose to go with Guilbert Construction and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality builder.
