We recently completed a renovation on a single storey period home with Warrick, Lucas and the team at HF Constructions, and we couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the very beginning, their communication was outstanding—they kept us informed every step of the way and were always approachable and transparent. Our project involved a tricky inner-subburb site, but the HF Constructions team tackled it with expertise and ingenuity, ensuring every challenge was met with practical and effective solutions. Their ability to collaborate and work seamlessly with us and other stakeholders (particularly our neighbours!) made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. The quality of their craftsmanship and attention to detail were second to none. The high-end finishes and precision in their work truly exceeded our expectations, resulting in a stunning transformation of our space. Every element of the renovation reflects their commitment to excellence and pride in their work. We highly recommend HF Constructions to anyone looking for a builder who values communication, cooperation, and delivering exceptional quality. A huge thank you to the team for turning our vision into reality!

HF Constructions were the builder for a single level extension project we had designed as the architect in Footscray. We came across them via recommendation from another of our trusted custom homes builders - and we are so glad we entrusted the vision of this home with Lucas and the HF team. They were meticulous in following our drawings and always made sure the design intent was understood. Their attention to detail on site was excellent and were professional in handling of any minor issues that cropped up. We have since used HF on another renovation project and hope to again in the near future!

We used HF to design and completely renovate/extend our home. The experience was top class from start to finish. Lucas, Warrick and everyone else in the company were easy to deal with and focused on creating the best outcome for us. The process ran smoothly and on time and we ended up with a new home that we absolutely love and it is different to any other place nearby. Judging from the comments we get from friends and neighbours, others love it to. Very happy and thank you HF team.

Highly engaged team, excellent communication, the guys at HF operate with integrity and honesty at all times. Nothing was too much much trouble for the team, from the site manager to the tradies and the guys that emptied the bins. They worked around our families requirements and demonstrated outstanding customer service from the initial engagement through to handover. Starting a build / renovation is always daunting due to the horror stories that you hear from others. Our experience was collaborative, enjoyable and ultimately a life changing event due to the way that our family uses our new house. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome and look forward to using HF Construction again on our next project.

Testimonial - April 2024 I met Warrick Holt, Director of HF Constructions in 2015 when he presented himself to NOWarchitecture with his CV. He impressed me as a serious, conscientious person with good building industry experience. NOWarchitecture offered HF Constructions the opportunity to Tender on a project in 2016. Their Tender was competitive, well considered and detailed. HF Constructions were awarded the project with NOWarchitecture performing full Contract Administration. Their work was careful, timely and considerate of the owner (who needed to keep their departure from their home to a minimum), while the home needed to be a building work site and continue to provide safe protective storage for the owner’s furniture and effects. Since that time HF Constructions have successfully tendered on 5 other of our Residential projects. Each has required attention to detail, coordination in tight sized sites, with Clients that naturally have high expectations. They also had programmes that required protection of Clients’ other possessions during the works. On several of the projects, Clients have successfully and happily completed their construction programme in direct relationship with HF, with NOWarchitecture contacted on an as-need basis to support decisions that arise from time to time. HF Constructions always contribute to the complex construction process in a skilled and respectful manner. HF Constructions have always exhibited cooperation and integrity in their dealings with NOWarchitecture and our Clients. Our working relationship has always been professional. Since that first meeting with Warrick we have also had the pleasure to work effectively with co-director Lucas O’Leary, who coordinates their construction programmes to produce excellent results. We appreciate their team approach and persistence working through the stresses of unpredictable Covid delays, difficulties caused by untimely and unwanted weather events, to achieve cost effective, quality construction for our clients. We thank them for the projects that they have successfully completed and wish them ongoing success based on their business approach of constructing with care and integrity. Yours sincerely, Judith M North ARCHITECT (non-practicing), FRAIA Retired Director of NOWarchitecture
