From the moment we walked through Crowns door, everything just fell into place. When we started to question our design, they were always quick to reassure us that we were on the right track and the end product will be exactly what we were after. The quality and wow factor as soon as you enter our home, is a credit to Matt, Shane and the team at Crown Construction, as they have made our dream come to life.

We couldn't be happier with the quality of our build with Crown, having now had our house for about 5 months.....so we have no hesitation in highly recommending them to anyone building on NE or Northern Victoria. We first met Matt on site and he was happy to walk us through another couple of builds being done nearby by Crown. That initial meeting and chats soon after gave us the confidence to choose them as the builder for our house in Yarrawonga. We had most of the plan designed ourselves but need help in some areas, so Crown initially assisted with that. And once that was all sorted, it was onwards & upwards. After signing contracts and getting things started, apart from a couple of issues early on - one larger one which wasn't created by Crown at all - everything ran extremely smoothly. Dealing with Shane on site as the build kicked off and then Charlie as our construction manager made the whole experience very comforting. In fact once the slab was laid and building started, we hardly had any issues of significance.....and anything got resolved if it did come up. Timelines were met pretty much all the way through and we got the keys well inside the contract date. One of our concerns was that we did not live locally so would not be on site often enough. But communication was terrific all the way through with Matt, Shane and Charlie which allayed our fears. Whether it was a phone call, text or the weekly email, we were always kept in the loop with what was happening on site. Now that we have our house, we are very happy with the quality of workmanship.....plaster, painting, tiles, cabinetry, stairs.....it's all very good. While we might have tweaked a couple of things with the design or choices in hindsight, they would be minor things in the context of such a build. So thank you Crown - in particular Matt, Shane and Charlie but also the office staff. The experience was very smooth for the most part, which is what you want when spending so much money and dealing in an environment - construction - with which you have limited experience.

Living on the other side of the country for the duration of our build and building for the first time, we really wanted a builder we could trust and was great with communication. Our experience with Crown meet our expectations and even though there were a couple of issues along the way, they were always quick to respond and rectify. We had a fantastic experience with Crown Building and Construction and would highly recommend their services. Our building project was a full custom build in Bright that was completed while we lived in Melbourne. At our first meeting with Crown we were able to explain what we were trying to achieve, while they clearly explained their design and construction process. During the initial session we gained some valuable feedback on some design concepts we had in mind. When we started the design process we were asked to put together a look book of the design ideas we were trying to achieve. After providing this, and a reasonably well defined floor plan, our dream build came to life during their design process. Our feedback was acted on in a timely manner, and most importantly we felt that the first draft of the plan really spoke to us and what our vision was. After receiving a preliminary quotation, as per the process that was agreed up front, we proceeded to the detailed design phase including planning. It was really beneficial to be able to have access to numerous samples they have in their display room, as well as example kitchens and bathrooms. Part of the process involved meeting with their cabinet maker - and the information and advice we received was invaluable. They also introduced us to a few key suppliers and we found that the experience was very integrated. The selection process is a lot of hard work but we found doing the work up front meant that construction phase for the most part proceeded very smoothly. We found our site manager Charlie to be exceptionally easy to deal with and his communication was always very clear. During the design phase, there was a certain finish we requested that didn’t seem to be standard. No problems, it was greed that we would meet the tradesman onsite where he prepared a sample so that we could be 100% sure we were going to be satisfied with the end result. When construction was in progress we really appreciated photos and the weekly status update - being 4 hours away this went a long way to making us feel much closer to the build. We couldn’t be happier with the overall quality and attention to detail we received in our finished home.

My initial interaction with Crown was to seek support in obtaining a building permit from various planning authorities for a challenging location. The authorities raised several concerns, but with the professional advice from Crown and other experts we successfully secured the planning permit.. Crown then developed a plan that complied with the stringent requirements, accomodated my specific needs and took advantage of the views of the existing gardens and trees. During this phase I was continually updated, even when I was overseas. I later met with Crown consultants to select the fittings for the house. These fittings ranged from floor coverings to tiles, paint colours and even the bath tub. This could have been overwhelming, but was made easy by setting aside a full day to visit suppliers to make selections with the guidance of the Crown consultant who advised on colour coordination and suitability of specific fittings. During the building phase, I received weekly updates from Charlie, the overseeing builder, on the progress, including what had been achieved during the previous week and what was planned for the next week. Throughout the building phase I was regularly shown inside and around the house by Charlie to explain the building process. To my delight the house was completed, ahead of schedule. The handover by Shane, Jamie and Charlie was a proud moment for them and satisfying one for me. I am very pleased to have selected Crown, a local company, who provided a seamless, professional experience from start to finish, turning what could have been a stressful process into an enjoyable one.
