I recently engaged Chris and his team at Somerfield Constructions for a renovation of our Toowoomba property, and the results were nothing short of exceptional. Despite us being based interstate, Chris managed the entire project seamlessly from start to finish — coordinating trades, keeping me updated at every stage, and making the whole process completely stress-free. His attention to detail, professionalism, and pride in workmanship exceeded every expectation I had. The finished product speaks for itself — everything was delivered on time, on budget, and to an incredibly high standard. I couldn’t recommend Chris and Somerfield Constructions highly enough to anyone looking for a builder who genuinely cares about the result and their client.

We were very impressed and happy by the work Chris, Mitch and Matt did at our place to renovate and update our bathroom and laundry. The whole process from start to finish was very well done with Chris and the boys showing a high level of professional care and attention to detail. Throughout the job Chris always took the time to make sure we knew what stage the job was up to, and when anyone would be on site. Whenever any design or layout decisions had to be made there was always plenty of time to decide with Chris being more than willing to give his expertise and best options. Being a tradie myself, it spoke volumes to me when I first met Chris and he introduced his blokes to me on a 3rd party job when he didn't need to. He places a high level of trust and value on his staff and this is reflected in their work. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a quality job and minimal hiccups (if any)!

We hired Chris and the team to build us a rural type hardwood fence spanning 100m, they don't usually do fences but their quote came in cheaper than any of the other fencing companies in Toowoomba, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. It was all hands on deck the first day, digging the holes, and concreting the posts in. The second day Mitch and Matthew got stuck in and finished it off. Yes you read correctly - our 100m fence was completed in 2 days! My husband and I could not believe how efficiently they worked to erect our fence, definitely a well oiled machine. We can't thank Somerfield Constructions enough for building us a solid, high quality hardwood fence.

We have worked with Chris commercially and residentially for years. He has consistently provided great service and great work and we are very happy with our most recent project, building a beautiful deck off the back of our new house. We got a caravan carport built. Impressed by Chris & his workers with their prompt service. Arrived & delivered when they said they would. We were kept informed of progress. Went with Chris's suggestions on the build and we were pleased with end result.
