We built our family home with KIBA after a strong recommendation, and the entire experience has been fantastic. Initially, we were hesitant about choosing a smaller builder, but it turned out to be the best decision for many reasons. Having built with Metricon in 2021, the difference with KIBA was clear. We had the freedom to custom design our home without exorbitant fees or changes. While the design process was stressful at times, Brett’s patience, helpful suggestions, and extensive knowledge guided us through. He also helped us make smart decisions about what to include or cut to stay within budget. The flexibility to supply our own items, like pendants, meant we got exactly what we wanted without paying extra for installation after handover The standard inclusions were generous—no additional costs for luxury features like black tapware, 600x600 tiles, vinyl flooring, and shower niches. The base price was competitive, and we got much more than we expected. KIBA built and handed over our 270m² single story home in just 6 months (slab pour was start of April 2025 and handover late October 2025), something we doubt a volume builder could match in quality or timeline these days. Progress was steady, especially in the first few months. The quality of work is exceptional—paint, carpentry, appliances, and fittings were all top-notch. Even our curtain and blind installer (which we arranged after handover) commented on the high-quality build, noting the thicker plaster and perfectly square windows which they don’t see often in new builds anymore. Our building inspector also had very little to note at the final inspection. Customer service was professional and responsive, with quick and honest answers to all our questions. The app they use to track progress with photos was a great touch, and we found ourselves checking it daily out of excitement. There were a few hiccups along the way that were out of KIBA’s control, such as some items being missed off the initial work order and needing to be rectified after handover. Additionally, a product being out of stock delayed the installation and handover, but these were all addressed promptly and professionally. Overall, we’re absolutely thrilled with our new home and can’t thank KIBA enough. If you’re considering building, we highly recommend them for all the reasons above and more.

KIBA is amazing. Thats all you need to know. Our original builder went into liquidation after months of delays and wanting me and my partner to pay more on a fixed price build contract. KIBA came to our rescue and delivered a better house than we expected. When we had our first meeting with Brett, we felt like he actually cared about getting our house done, and we weren’t just another number. The communication we received from everyone at KIBA was amazing; from our site supervisor being honest about delays, fixing issues with the previous build, from everyone in the office responding to us with actual answers, we were never kept in the dark about our house. After our “house” was looking like a bunch of framing just got thrown together in an afternoon by the previous builder, Brett and Josh got their guys to work and got our entire frame and roof done within 2-3 weeks after taking down what the previous builder put up. We honestly couldn't recommend KIBA enough. Their care for people and their houses is second to none. If you want peace of mind when building a house, do yourself a favour and go with KIBA. KIBA built our home back in 2020/2021 and from start to finish the process was unbelievably easy and stress free. Both Brett and Kirsty were attentive to our needs every step of the way and provided an experience that we would happily go through again. We can’t thank Brett and Kirsty enough to have Kiba take over our build from our previous builder. Their attention to detail, great finishes and obvious pride in their work have completed our home to better than what we could have imagined. Our experience with KIBA has been amazing! Brett the owner was extremely professional throughout the entire process. Unlike many other builders we spoke to, he was honest and transparent about costs. As first homeowners, we had a limited budget and Brett was trying to work with us and wasn’t trying to sell us unnecessary upgrades. Throughout the entire build, we received regular updates and our supervisor Josh made sure everything was going smoothly. Josh always went above and beyond with everything, was extremely responsive and nothing was too much to ask. There have been no issues since moving into our new home and the finishes and quality of our house are to the highest standard. We were told that building a home is one of the most stressful things but thanks to our supervisor Josh, it wasn’t a stressful experience for us at all. We can’t recommend KIBA enough and would definitely build with them again in the future!

After our first builder went under in Feb 23, we were so distraught. We were assigned the choice of three building companies by QBCC, and after researching we chose to go with KIBA. One of the greatest decisions we ever made. We met up in Oct 23 and it was all go, go, go from then on… Our land was recleared and the struts were up in the July and we took hold of our keys at the end of Nov and moved in on the 3rd Dec. I We had no idea how beautiful our house was going to be until she was up and had a face, as she was a bespoke and there is no other like her ANYWHERE, and this was all done via phone and emails. The KIBA staff where amazing, put up with our continuous questions, we lived in Canberra and our house was being built on Bribie Island, so it wasn’t like we could just get in the car to visit the build. Nothing was to hard and we always knew how the house was coming along through updated photo’s etc. We can’t thank KIBA enough and our new home is beautiful, far exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend KIBA to all who want a Caring, Reliable and Contentious building coampany, who will never let you down. To Josh, Sam, Brett, Kirstie, and you’re fantastic Tradies… we wish KIBA to prosper to highest.
