Rob is a trades person you rarely find anymore. Rob's work ethic is second to none! From his communication, through the whole process, till the end of the job (not just when you've signed a contract) The calibre of his work is outstanding. This job was organised totally remotely as I was not close in location, no question was too silly and never even met Rob in person. Say a lot about Rob! Rob/York Stone Restoration recently did an absolutely outstanding job re-cutting our very old hand-cut stone stairs. He took them from an unusable, dilapidated state, to a beautiful and functional garden feature. Rob was extremely careful to address all aspects of the job with me before and during his work and was very professional and friendly throughout. I highly recommend Rob.

Rob recently completed an external wall for us in Birchgrove. It was a complex exercise requiring discussion regarding appropriate methods and addressing heritage concerns. Diagrams had to be drawn up and sent to council for approval. There were long periods of waiting in between. During this time ( 12 months!) Rob was easily contactable and willing to liaise with our draftsperson to confirm the best way forward. This was all before he was even assured of a job! He was able to start soon after we obtained approval and completed the wall in record time. It is a vast improvement from our previous wall and we are stoked - as is our neighbour from across the road who secretly hated our old wall! He also went a step further and returned to patch up a couple of bits damaged by the electricians- and at no extra cost!! We were very impressed by Rob’s work ethic and would not hesitate to contract him for future jobs or recommend him to anyone seeking an excellent sandstone restorer.

Rob and team did an extraordinary job carefully stripping back the cement render off the sandstone wall of our 130 year old terrace, restoring the wall and installing new stone paving on top of the varandah. His teams attention to detail is second to none.
