Brookvale Stone

After meeting with numerous stonemasons and getting quotes it was clear Bart and his team were the stonemasons to proceed with. Not only affordable but clearly knowledgeable and experienced in heritage stone work. Bart and his team have exceeded our expectations - the time, skill and attention to every detail is extraordinary. Always accomodating and polite. We have had strangers stop us in the street to tell us how impressed they are with the stonework and the attention to detail they noticed from the stonemasons.

The Brookvale stone team have been apart of my family's Restoration job throughout the year we have had to have 3 out of four stone chimneys restored and rebuilt along with various other patching and pointing and steam cleaning. Their communication, attention to detail and professional but charming demeanor went above and beyond my expectations! Throughout the whole ongoing process from quote through works, they have been exceptional at keeping us informed and updated with progress and all facits of the job. They were incredibly understanding and accommodating to my fussy eye to detail and their patience to teach myself and my extended family the process of their work left us feeling confident about what was happening. It has been a truly refreshing experience and the team gave such a great result, we were able to save the history of our house and showcase the beauty of the Sydney sandstone. We are so thankful for their excellent workmanship and the respect they held for our home and the organised and clean and tidy manner they worked and left in. Nothing was ever issue, and they always fitted into our family's schedule when life's changes came by. I am looking forward to future jobs with them. I would highly recommend them.

We have a heritage listed house and some of the foundation sandstone had begun to erode quite badly. Bart reviewed and came up with a plan to do an ‘indent’. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently by Bart and his great team of stonemasons. They matched the sandstone and it looks great together with the mortar. They also replaced some eroding bricks and did some significant ’brick pointing’ around the house. Again, although not ‘tuck pointing’ it looks great and will last a long time. Finally, they cleaned up each day which, with the dust, etc, made it look clean and tidy. Bart was a very good communicator before and during the job plus they were punctual, arriving when he said they would which made it easier for us to manage times re access, etc.

We were immensely fortunate to retain the services of one of the best Stonemasons in Australia. I witnessed a deeply personal insight into this ancient craft, the results of which were simply spectacular. We now receive non-stop compliments from guests arriving at the property. In my view Brookvale Stone is a jewel in the history of Australian Stonemasonry.
