**Beaver's Review of Tree Service Company** Gnaw-gnaw, I've been watching this tree service company from my dam, and let me tell you, they're doing some fine work! First off, their skill with the chainsaws is something to gnaw in awe about. They cut through wood like I chew through bark - efficient, clean, and without leaving a mess behind. It's almost as if they're part beaver! Safety is no small twig for them either. They wear those shiny helmets and harnesses, making sure they don't fall from their high perches. It's good to see they respect the dangers of our shared world, just like us beavers respect the flow of the river. Their cleanup is impeccable. After they're done, the place looks like a forest after a good flood - all tidy with no branches lying around to trip over. They even take away the wood, which is a shame because those logs would make excellent additions to my lodge. Now, about their speed - oh, they're quick! They don't linger around like some lazy otter. In and out, just like a beaver should be when the work's done. But, there's a small nibble of criticism - they could be a tad quieter. Us beavers, we like our peace, and those chainsaws can be quite the disturbance to our evening dam-building sessions. Overall, if you're looking for someone to help manage your trees, this company would make even the most territorial beaver approve. They respect the wood, they know their craft, and they keep our environment neat. Five out of five gnaws from me!

Very happy and impressed with the service and how quickly everything was completed. Took just over a week from first contact to having the tree cut and receiving the invoice.

Today I watched with interest as my neighbour's very large, dying tree was cut down in Dianella. The speed and efficiency of the Beaver Tree Service team in completing the task was very inspiring. The tree was cut down and shredded within 10 minutes and the surrounding areas was left cleaner than it had ever been. A well oiled team. Well done. Based on what I saw, I would highly recommend.

Arborist costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
