Great Name / Great Service They pruned our garden, chopped down trees, poisoned stumps, and cleaned up the leaves, etc. On time, reliable, friendly, easy to deal with, and our calls were promptly returned. “Limb Reaper” did more than what they charged us for, and we were very happy with the job they did. They were affordable, and we would highly recommend Shaun and the team.

I can't fault Shaun's quick and efficient work, good communication, and reasonable prices. I've used him multiple times now to trim and cut down hedges and trees. Meticulous work every time!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic service from start to finish. They were quick, polite, and very easy to deal with. Arrived on time to provide the quote and had the quote sent through the same day. The job involved lopping several very tall trees, removing and poisoning a medium-sized tree, and they also fully removed another tree that was unwell. The team was friendly, professional, and worked efficiently. There was a small bit of damage to a fence panel during the job, but they repaired it promptly, which I really appreciated. Great communication and great workmanship. Highly recommend!

Arborist costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
