Isaac and the team at ProArb are the best in the biz. They offer a fantastic service encompassing outstanding communication, thorough work, they clean up after the job not leaving a trace, and you can tell they take pride in their work, which is becoming a rarity. Couldn't recommend enough, if you have a tree that needs a solid prune/tidy up or all together removal, these are your guys.

Tony and the team were so professional. Tony responded to my request for a quote immediately, turned up on time and were able to remove 2 huge gum trees from tricky positions within two weeks from the first time I contacted ProArb. The job was done within a day with no impact on any neighbour's access. I was so impressed! Thank you, ProArb.

I am revising my review to 5 stars after Isaac from ProArb Trees contacted me with a view to fixing the problem that I raised below. I am pleased to advise that Isaac and his crew did attend and did a great job. They were very professional, efficient and Isaac was a pleasure to deal with. I would now thoroughly recommend them. Original review: "I'm pleased the other reviews had a good experience with ProArb Trees. Unfortunately, I did not. One of the jobs was to clear the vegetation away from power lines. When I questioned that I thought one of the trees was still too close to the power lines they did trim some more. I should not have had to tell a professional this. Then Evo Energy inspected it and advised it was still to close to the power lines. I called ProArb to ask them to return but I was "ghosted", never to have them call me back. I then had to pay for someone else to do the job properly. I would not recommend ProArb Trees."

Tony and his crew did an excellent job removing a very large, dangerous tree, and cleaned up after the removal. Would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
